Dear Daughter,

My Grace is sufficient for you.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

This is what God wants us, His daughters, to know. 👑

God Gives Grace

Often times we go through life and feel more confined then we do liberated. We feel more tired than we do energized. Last, but certainly not least, we feel more weak than we do strong. When you have to be many things for many people, it leaves you drained .

The past few days I have been wearing a bracelet gifted to me by my dear cousin and her daughter (S/o to Nikiya and Taelyn with Blended Bracelets). The bracelet showcases the word “GRACE” beautifully. This has been a gentle reminder of Gods Grace. Lately, I have found myself in the middle of some rough days. This beautiful bracelet not only reminded me of Gods Grace, but to also give myself some Grace.

What does the Grace of God look like? Merriam-Webster describes grace as unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification. It also says, approval, favor, mercy and pardon. We know the grace of God is unmerited favor…something that we can not buy and it can not be earned. God freely gives it to us because He loves us! WOW! What. A. GIFT.

What is Grace

In 2 Corinthians chapter 12, the Apostle Paul talks about a thorn in his flesh. He says, he pleaded with the lord three times to remove the thorn. In verse 7, the Apostle Paul states “or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.”

How Tired Are You

How many times have you prayed for God to remove you from a debilitating situation? How many times have you asked God to save you from enduring any more pain? How many times have you beat yourself up because you can’t seem to get passed a season of suffering and exhaustion?

IF you are anything like me…it’s been many . Too many. Once you reach the point of extreme exhaustion and frustration all you can think about is RUN, RUN, RUN and dont look back. Pack the bags. Book the flight. Block any and everybody who has made things worse. However that doesn’t seem to fix it. We get angry when we don’t see God immediately change our circumstances.

Sufficient Grace

Unfortunately, but fortunately sometimes, we have to just sit in it. Sometimes we have to sift through the bricks life has piled on us and find Gods grace in it all. It’s there. It’s been there. We just have to see it. The Bible tell us that His grace is sufficient for us. The thorn kept Paul humble. The issue kept Paul humble. The frustration of human limitation kept Paul humble. The thorn made Paul aware of where his TRUE HELP came from, Jesus Christ.

God won’t always hold the door open for you every time you want to run. We have to face what’s in front of us and tell that challenge, MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU AND HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME!

Daughter of God, you may feel overwhelmed right now. You may be exhausted and covered in baby vomit. You may have a stack of bills piled to your chin. You may feel like your worth is going unnoticed. You may even be contemplating closing your eyes to never open them again, but I am here to remind you God’s Grace is sufficient. His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in Insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”

—2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
